哦，那些在帕尔努花园里的蝴蝶，

在我童年的家中，在那里

一年中的十二个月都是夏天！

有一只蝴蝶竟然大胆地落在了我的手掌上。

我，我母亲还有我的小女儿，

我们满怀好奇地看着它——

我们都放轻脚步，

仿佛处在同样的年纪，同样好奇地看着它：

瞧，这只蝴蝶长着一张狮子的脸！

  

  A  Butterfly with a Lion’s Face

OH THOSE YELLOW BUTTERFLIES IN THE GARDEN

in Pärnu at the home of childhood, where summer

lasts twelve months a year!

One lighted on my palm, how bold.

      

We looked at it with curiosity, I, my

Mother and my little daughter – all of us

light-footed, all of the same age,

seeing with a single heart:

Look, the butterfly has a lion’s face!

     写给已故的母亲

母亲，我永远不会忘记您。

那座玫瑰园，依旧存在，很静谧。

窗框上的油漆已经剥落，

那是岁月留下的痕迹。

母亲啊，您就像是

登上了一趟错误的列车——

去往另一片土地，另一个时代，甚至

行李标签上都是陌生的文字——

列车在朝着错误的方向飞驰，

我整夜把您抱在膝上。

   To My Late Mother

Mother, I will neverforget you,and

the rose garden, still and silent.

Paint peeled from the window frame.

Work outlasting the wind’s shadow as,

mother, aboard a wrongtrain –                     

in another land, another era, even

the luggage tags in a strange language –

bound in the wrong direction,

I held you on my lap all night.

母亲的生日

母亲，今天是您九十五岁诞辰

趁着夜色，您飞回来，回来

庆祝您九十五岁生日。

您看上去气色很好，还是那么美丽。

母亲啊，您是如何掌握了这样的本领——

能在夜晚像燕子一样，轻盈地飞越

千山万水和阴阳两世的边界？

或许您凭借着拐杖助跑才飞起来的吧？

母亲，教教我吧，

教教我如何从这个世界起飞。

   

     Mother’s Birthday

Mother, today is your 95th Birthday,

you come back to celebrate it,

You looks healthy, beautiful.

How did you, mother, acquire this skill –

to fly so freely at night

from the precipice, like a swallow?

Maybe with your crutch   

you take a running start over the rim?

Teach me such courage, mother,

how to take a running start from this world.

   给您一个三明治

妈，我给你一个三明治，就像

当年你把我冻伤的双脚放进水盆

然后给我食物一样——

那时我的脚疼得厉害！

——你还给了我

一大杯牛奶和一片

涂着纯正农家黄油的黑麦面包。

您的几根白发飘落到面包上，

接着一撮头发也飘向了面包。

I GIVE YOU A SANDWICH,MOTHER, AS

you gave one to meafter you had placed

my frostbitten feetinto a basin with water –

how they ached! – andgave me

a big mug of milk anda slice

of black rye breadwith real country butter.

Some grey hair flew tothe bread,

then a whole tuft ofhair flew

toward the breadDriving them back

across the brink ofthe dream, I fell

into another dream,into another snow.

     母亲与白鹳

在基林吉-诺姆梅和蒂赫梅察之间

田野里满是白鹳——

它们从哪里来？是怎么到这儿的？

（大规模的迁徙仍在继续，从南到北。

新的冰河时代还很遥远。）

有两只白鹳栖息在电话杆的顶端，

如同下面的青草平静地

注视着它们一样，

如同在漆黑的夜晚，它们的祖先

从尼罗河飞来的途中仅以

北极星作为唯一的路标一样，它们在这里停歇，

在鲁耶纳和伊皮基以北几公里的地方。

它们的那些词语，后来被两岁的玛尔塔——

     My Mother and Storks

ALL THESE STORKSBETWEEN KILINGI-NÕMME

and Tihemetsa, a fieldfull of storks –

where did they comefrom, how did they get here?

(The great migrationof people continues

South to North. A newice age

is still far away.)Two storks

atop a phone poleperch,

as peacefully as thegrass

observes them frombelow,

as surely as in thedark

of night theirancestor

on her way from theNile, with

Polaris as her onlysignpost, spilled here,

just a few kilometersnorth

of Rūjiena and Ipiķi,a language,

words then learned andspoken

by two-year-old Marta,my mother:

ema, päike, isa, kuu and öö and taevas.

       万灵节之夜

万灵节之夜，您来到了我身边。母亲，

您怎么能把我独自留在这冰冷之中

这么久呢？万灵节的夜晚，风把

枫叶从枫树上吹落。您默默坐在

厨房的角落里。母亲，让我靠近您！

怕您冷，我要把炉子生起来。

  ON ALL SOUL’SNIGHT

ON ALL SOUL’S NIGHTYOU CAME TO ME, MOTHER.

How could you leave mein this cold

for so long? On allsoul’s night when wind blows

the leaves from themaple tree. Wordless you sit

in the kitchen corner,mother. You let me come to you!

Mother, right now I’llmake a fire in the stove.  

       圣诞节前夕

圣诞节前一周的星期一，

里加很冷。寒风刺骨，

异常凛冽。剧院里灯火通明。

但是，雅克说，他从那儿刚迈出几步

就跌进了黑暗中——而我也

陷入了同样的境地：

我失去了一切，又找回了

一切，我什么都不记得，却又

记得所有的事情——伊娜拉

  Before  Christmas

MONDAY A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS

is cold in Riga. Thewind bites

shrewdly. The theateris lighted,

but, Jaak says, hestumbled

from there just a fewsteps into

the darkness – intowhich I too

fall: I loseeverything, I recover

everything, I remembernothing and

I remember everything– Ināra,

Dzintra, and Mirdza,snows

from the past, whereare they? – as

I fall through mymother’s lap into

the womb of my Latviangreat-grandmother

who never in her lifespoke ill

to anyone.

[作者简介]尤里·塔尔韦特（JÜRITALVET）：爱沙尼亚当代著名诗人、作家、翻译家、学者。1981年获圣彼得堡大学西班牙语哲学博士学位，1996年以来，在教学之余一直致力于一本比较文学杂志《国际文学》的编辑工作；1994到2010年间，曾任爱沙尼亚国际比较文学协会会长，1992年以来，尤里·塔尔韦特一直在爱沙尼亚塔尔图大学任世界担任文学教授，系国际比较文学协会执委，2016年当选欧洲科学院院士。其诗歌、散文和哲学著述被翻译为英语、汉语、西班牙语、法语、加泰罗尼亚语、罗马尼亚语和意大利语等十多种语言发表或出版，作品在国内外多次获得奖项。已有诗集、散文集、哲学论述集和翻译著作三十余部在国内外出版，其主要著作有《醒》（诗集），《来自梦，来自雪》（诗集），和《而爱，照亮我们》（诗集），《西班牙精神》（散文随笔集），《不可逆转的边缘》（文化随笔集），《文化哲学的反射》（哲学随笔集）等。

Jüri Talvet was born in 1945 in Pärnu (Estonia). Agraduate of the University of Tartu (1972) and a PhD by Leningrad(St. Petersburg) University (1981), he chairedfrom 1992 to 2020 World / Comparative Literature program at Tartu University,where he also founded Spanish Studies. Today he is Professor Emeritus. In 2016he was elected member of Academia Europaea. He has published in Estonian morethan twenty books of poetry and essay. His books have appeared beyond Estonianin English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Romanian, Serbian, Japanese,Catalan, Greek and Macedonian translation. In Estonian, he has published amonograph on Juhan Liiv’s philosophic-lyrical poetry Juhan Liivi luule(Tallinn, 2012), while his Critical Essays on World Literature, ComparativeLiterature and the "Other" (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2019)importantly concerns aspects of ethical literary criticism. 【译者简介】杨宗泽 (1953 —    )笔名:瘦路，山东平度人,毕业于山东师范大学外文系英美语言文学专业，中学退休教师，无党派，中国作家协会会员，诗人，翻译家，后意象主义诗歌流派代表性诗人之一。1999年12月被美国世界作家艺术家协会评选为1999年度最佳翻译家，2024年12月被《中国当代诗歌导读》编委会授予第七届诗歌奖。已有诗集《浪漫季节》、《沉浮》和诗歌翻译集《贺敬之短诗选》、《吉狄马加诗选》、《桑恒昌短诗选》、《伊曼纽尔•马休诗选》等33种著作在国内外出版。杨宗泽的诗关注人生和人性、关注现实和社会问题、关注底层社会的生存状态。

Yang Zongze (1953 —   ), his pen name: Narrow Path; was born in Pingdu City, Shandong Province; graduatedfrom English Language and Literature Department of Shandong Normal University;retired middle school teacher; nonparty; poet, poetry translator, one of therepresentative poets of the post-Imagist poetry school. In December 1999, hewas selected as the Best Translator of 1999 by the American Society of WorldWriters and Artists. In December 2024, he was awarded the title of excellentpoet of the Seventh Poetry Award by the editorial board of the Guide forReading of Chinese Contemporary Poetry. Thirty-two books of his have beenpublished at home and abroad, including a collection of poems titled My Romantic Season and Winter Without Snow，and collections of translated poemstitled Selected Poems of He Jingzhi,Selected Poems of Jidi Majia, Selected Poems of Sang Hengchang and Selected Poems of Emmanuel MAHIEU.

Yang Zongze's poetry focuses onlife and human nature, realistic society and important societal issues as wellas the living conditions of the bottom society.
